    • 3 Medium size potatoes
    • 1 Tomatoes – chopped
    • 2tsp coriander powder
    •  2tsp red chili powder
    • 1tsp turmeric powder
    • 1tsp mustard seeds
    • 1tsp Fenugreek seeds
    • 1/2tsp Fennel seeds(powdered)
    • 3tbsp vegetable oil
    • salt or to your taste
    • chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
    • Garam masala


    1. Boil the potatoes now peel potatoes and half of them cut into pieces and Crumble the other potatoes with your hand and keep aside the bowl.
    2. Heat oil in a cooking vessel or kadai.
    3. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Add methi seeds and allow the seeds to turn red.
    4. Add red chilis and saute for few seconds.
    5. Add all dry spices powder and give it a good stir.
    6. Immediately add chopped tomatoes and let it cook until soft once it is done add the crumbled potatoes and potato pieces and mix well with rest of the contents in the vessel.
    7. Add a cup of water and salt to taste and simmer with lid till your achieve the gravy you desire.
    8. Turn off flame and remove to a serving bowl garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
    9. Serve warm with puris.
