For those who are not familiar, Raita is simply a yogurt based Indian condiment often used as a side, sauce or dip. Fruits or vegetables with yogurt and the condiment lightly tempered with spices and herbs.Sweet or savory, the Raita makes a wonderful accompaniment with grilled meat and works wonderfully as a side for a light lunch, or as a dip with crackers or flat breads.
Endlessly versatile, any kind and combination of fruits, vegetables and spices may be used to make Raita.
It was long time I saw this Bowl full of pink raita on many of my foodie fellows on Instagram and wanted to try it out. I was not very sure how this pink color which look really pretty would taste..But to my surprise it tastes so so good.All the Ingredients easily available in your kitchen and just to follow few easy step and delicious raita ready.

Easy salad made with beetroot and yogurt
- 1 large beetroot grated
- 2 cup beaten curd
- 2 green chilies chopped
- small piece of ginger minced
- 2 tbsp fresh dill leaves chopped
- 1 tso chaat masala
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- Mix grated beetroot into beaten curd.
- Next add all the spices green chilies , ginger , chaat masala , cumin powder , sugar and salt.
- Last mix freshly chopped dill leaves .
- Serve with some grated beet on top.
